Bethany Marc-Aurele (Artistic Director/ Head of Ballet Program) began her foundational ballet training at the North Carolina School of the Arts and Central Wisconsin School of Ballet. At these locations Mellissa Hayden, Fanchon Cordell , Nina Danilova, Dianne Markham, Frank Smith and Waltraud Kar Kar trained her extensively in the essentials of ballet.

The Alvin Ailey School in New York City, recognizing her potential, accepted her into their program as a full scholarship student to work under the direction of Judith Jamison. Bethany went on to perform with several companies including Ballet Chicago, North Shore Ballet, Alvin Ailey Youth, Amelie Dance Theater and in several off-Broadway shows in New York City.

Bethany Marc-Aurele is an ABT certified teacher. She successfully completed the American Ballet Theater teacher training intensive in Primary through Level III of the ABT National Training Curriculum.  Passionate about early childhood dance education, Bethany continues her teacher training at the Vancouver Junior Professional Division in British Columbia, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle Pennsylvania and the American Ballet Theater. She has choreographed, coached, adjudicated, and overseen classical and multi-disciplinary curriculums both nationally and internationally.

Bethany also has leading credits in many independent movies and was nominated as best actress for her work in “Cupidity”  directed by John Gallagher at the 2004 New York Film Festival.
